Muddy Boot Jewelry is artisan jewelry made from the soil of Louisiana rivers, such as the Mississippi River and the Red River. I have formulated the perfect combination of soil and moldable binders to create these gorgeous pieces of wearable art. Each piece is carefully sealed in a protective coating so there is no worry of staining or damaging your clothing. And NO - Muddy Boot Jewelry does NOT dissolve in water. All pieces are bound by a plasticizing element that secures their shape and integrity. A jewelry care card is included with each purchase to help you ensure that your special piece is well preserved and maintains its vibrance. I chose river soil as my medium because the river is symbolic of life, the passage of time, and the power of nature. It is a reminder to live life to the fullest and respect every place you visit. Since I love to travel, I wanted to take a piece of my favorite places with me everywhere I go. Louisiana (my home), is one of these places for me.
