Unwined Jewelry Collection

The Unwined jewelry collection is made from broken and cut recycled bottles that have been kiln and torch fired, then tumbled to create wearable pieces of art and beauty. I love the concept of taking brokenness and making something beautiful out of it ... literally and metaphorically. This process and beautiful outcome is symbolic — it conveys my heart about sexual abuse survivors. Regardless of our brokenness and pain, like glass, one can be tested by the fire, tumbled about by life’s circumstances, and become even more beautiful than before. I believe that everyone has something broken within that can be beautifully healed. That healed brokenness is part of our unique beauty and it is through our own healing that we can help others heal ... and vice versa. It’s crazy how being broken, cut, going through a fire, and being tumbled about can produce the most beautiful gems — just like survivors.
